I’ve been wanting to share my favorite dog items with you all and I thought this week was the perfect time to do it! This week we are celebrating both of our dogs! Chopter turns 10 on Thursday and on Sunday we will have had Boogie for a whole year! These two pups are my babies and I am excited to share my dog mama essentials with you. I believe that dogs are part of the family and they deserve nice things too!
Dog Stairs
We bought these dog stairs about a year ago because we wanted to get our dogs used to using stairs before they got older. Both of our dogs love to be on the bed and couch but jumping all the time can injure their knees. Currently, Chopter uses them to go down but not up and Boogie uses them to go up but not down. Ha! These stairs are nice to have so that I don’t need to worry about them jumping too much.
Cooling Mat
A cooling mat was one of our best dog purchases! Chopter has always loved laying on the tile in the bathroom when it’s warm out and he used to be so restless in the summer when sleeping in our room. We bought a cooling mat for him to lay on in the bedroom and he LOVES it! He loves it so much that when we got Boogie we had to buy a second one because they don’t love to share! These mats come in different sizes and it’s amazing how cold they stay. It really helps keep the pups cool when the weather is warm.
Water Fountain
Our first born pup, Chopter has always loved to drink out of a faucet. We started this bad habit with him years ago in our apartment bathroom. When we moved into our house, we decided we had to stop this madness! So we bought him this fountain to make him feel like he’s drinking out of the sink still. It runs the water through a filter and I think the dogs really do like the water better out of it than a regular bowl.
Kennel Pad
The dogs each have their own kennel so that when we travel they have somewhere that’s there own space. We used to put towels down inside of it but then Andy found these great pillow pads and we decided to try them out. The pups love these! They are so soft and plush and the bottom side has grips so that the pad doesn’t slide around. These are so much more comfortable for them to lay on than towels or blankets!
Furbo Dog Camera
If I had to pick my very favorite thing on this list it would definitely be the Furbo! If you’re a crazy dog mom like me and want to be able to see them at all times, you will love this! We set this up wherever the dogs are and then Andy and I can check in on them at any time during the day from the app on our phones. You can throw them treats and talk to them too if you want to! I love that it notifies me when they are barking so I can check in on them and see what’s going on. Highly recommend!
Travel Water Bottle
We tend to bring our dogs everywhere with us which means we are usually taking long car rides with them. We’ve had multiple travel water bowls in the past and we have always had issues with leaking. This water bottle is seriously the absolute best! It even fits in a car cup holder which is a major plus! To give your dog water you simply squeeze the bottle and the bowl on top fills up. When your dog has had enough, you stop squeezing and the water goes back into the bottle. No leaking and no mess!
