The heat is starting to get pretty intense around here and I’m already at the point where I’m excited for Fall. Although I’m not a big fan of the heat, I am a big fan of the items I’m going to be sharing with you today! This post is all about my Summer beauty favorites. Some of them I’ve used for years and others are favorites from this Summer.
Urban Decay All Nighter Setting Spray
I’ve been using this setting spray for years! They even have a mini travel size one for vacation that I purchased as well. I use this daily in the Summer after doing my makeup so that I don’t sweat it all off. I usually spray it after I do my eyeliner but before I do my mascara because my waterproof mascara doesn’t usually budge anyway. This is the best setting spray I have found and I will definitely continue to repurchase this product.
Softlips Lip Balm
This product has been my go-to lip balm since high school. I’ve tried others and I just keep going back to this one. But it has to be the vanilla flavored one! My lips get super chapped in the Summer and this lip balm has SPF in it to protect from the sun.
Ulta Tinted Mineral Face Lotion
I picked up this face lotion this Summer after reading all the amazing reviews on Ulta’s website. I like to use sunscreen lotion on my face every day and I was looking for a more natural option. That’s where this mineral sunscreen comes in. I love that it’s tinted so it gives me just a slight evening tone to my face. This makes my skin matte and doesn’t feel sticky or heavy like a regular lotion does. It feels more like a primer to me and works great under my makeup.
Bare Republic Mineral Sunscreen Spray
Since I’ve been trying to go more natural where I can, I picked up this mineral sunscreen to try. I’ve only used it a few times but so far it has worked great. I haven’t had any sunburns when using this sunscreen so far. It smells amazing and I like that it goes on white at first so you can see where you have applied it. The only downside so far has been that it feels a bit sticky. I’ve read you have to shake the bottle up well so it could be I’m not doing that enough. Either way, I will be sticking with this one!
St. Moriz Tanning Mousse
Self tanner is not something I use often. I’m always terrified I’m going to look orange and streaky so I tend to avoid it. I had a wedding coming up so I decided to start doing some research so I wouldn’t be the one super pale bridesmaid. St. Moriz was highly recommended, especially in the dark shade, so I decided that I’d give it a try. My boyfriend actually applied it for me which was awesome because he was able to blend it better than I could by just looking in a mirror. The dark shade turned out perfect, not too dark, and it lasted for a few days and faded naturally. I will definitely be using this again and again!
Maui Babe After Browning Lotion
I’ve been using Maui Babe products for years and this healing lotion is one of my favorites. After spending time in the sun, you apply this lotion to your skin and it helps heal any sunburns and locks in any tan you might get. I use this stuff all the time to stop my skin from peeling and it’s a great moisturizer for dry skin! I definitely plan on bringing this lotion to Mexico with me in a few months.
