Happy July, everyone! Another month has come and gone and we are halfway through 2018 already! I really can’t believe I’ve already had this space for 6 months. It feels like I just started Tiny Gold Fox a few weeks ago and so much time has already flown by.
I wanted to thank you all for following along! It’s been an adventure so far and is still a work in progress. I’m constantly learning about how to better my blog, whether through taking better photos, learning how to pose (so awkward! haha), or how to edit photos. It’s nice to have a creative outlet and something that challenges me to make myself better. Starting this blog has caused me to work on my writing skills, do research, learn about editing photos, and even start working out regularly again. I want to be the best I can in this space and I think that can only happen when you work hard and put yourself into your work.
One of my goals this year was to step out of my style comfort zone. Even though I meant more along the lines of actual style, sometimes that can include color as well. I do actually have a very colorful closet but one color I don’t usually gravitate towards is yellow. One piece of clothing that I didn’t know I wanted until I saw it was this short sleeve sweatshirt. I originally added it to my cart in the coral color but at the last minute changed my mind to the yellow. Although I knew it could potentially be the complete wrong color for my skin, it actually turned out alright. I usually wear an xxs in Aerie but ordered this short sleeve sweatshirt in xs so it would be a bit oversized. I definitely didn’t want it to be tight fitting!
This little black fringe bag has been a favorite the last few months. I got it as a gift so I don’t know where it originally came from, but I found a super similar one and linked it above. I love the braided detailing on it, as well as the fringed tassel. It holds my wallet (which is a long zipper one), my phone, keys, and a few other small items. I find myself grabbing it often when I don’t feel like taking my big purse with me somewhere.
If you are looking to try out this sweatshirt, it’s currently $14! Such a good deal for a piece you can wear all through Summer and into Fall. I’m really loving this orange color for a Fall transition piece too. It’s great for those cooler Summer nights when you just want something slightly thicker covering your shoulders. What do you think of the short sleeve sweatshirt style? Do you own one?
