Can you believe it’s already April?! This year is breezing by! It feels like it just started and yet here we are in Spring! I thought it would be fun to share some of the things I loved most during the month of March. I always like to see what people recommend or what their favorites are for the month and get ideas for items I might love too!
App: Jigsaw Puzzle
I absolutely love to work on puzzles but never have time to actually sit and work a real puzzle. I downloaded the Jigsaw Puzzle app to my tablet last year and have worked on them off and on. Last month I really got into them because it felt like a good way to relax and I’ve found that it’s been a fun distraction for my mind. I usually set them to about 400 pieces because it’s challenging without there being too many pieces. If you love puzzles like me, definitely check out this app!
Podcast: Armchair Expert by Dax Shepard
I listen to a ton of podcasts. I’ll work on a post about the different podcasts I listen to in the future but the last month I have been really loving Dax Shepard’s podcast Armchair Expert. His first episode was featured his wife Kristen Bell and I was hooked! It’s interesting to listen to his interviews because you feel like you are just chatting with friends. It almost makes you forget that these people are celebrities and makes them seem just like you and me. I love hearing about the lives of these celebrities from just a normal standpoint rather than what you would hear in a TV interview. They also give great advice and I love to hear about their insecurities because it reminds me that no matter how successful you are, it’s normal to have doubts about yourself. No one is perfect and it’s nice to see celebrities portrayed as their real selves.
TV Show: Schitt’s Creek
I like to find new shows that I can watch on my lunch breaks and I usually prefer them to be around 20 mins per episode. Just quick, funny shows I can watch a little bit of each day. I started Schitt’s Creek when I saw it on Netflix and I am sooo glad I did. It is hilarious! It’s about a wealthy family who suddenly loses everything except a town called Schitt’s Creek they bought as a joke. They have to move to the town and live in the local motel. Each episode is about them trying to adjust to their new life and get along with the locals of their small town. It has so many great actors and actresses in it and I’d have to say my personal favorite is the son, David, who is played by Dan Levy. He has the best facial expressions! I just finished season 3 on Netflix and now I can’t wait to see season 4 when it comes to Netflix!
Book: Help for the Haunted by John Searles
I’m currently reading Help for the Haunted by John Searles and am almost finished with it. I’ve been really enjoying it and am not ready for it to end yet. I love any book about ghosts or hauntings of any sort, although this one isn’t quite in that realm. This story is about a girl named Sylvie and her unusual family. Her parents are considered paranormal experts and one night they are lured to a local church and killed. Sylvie was in the car and thought she saw the person who did it but is now second guessing herself. The book revolves around her trying to figure out what happened to her parents that night as well as trying to understand if they really dealt with the paranormal. If you like paranormal stories, or the author John Searles, I would recommend checking out this book.
Fashion: Sam Edelman ‘Petty’ Chelsea Boot
As I’m sure you all already know, my Sam Edelman Chelsea booties were my most worn/most loved fashion item from March. I wore them constantly! They are so comfortable and the color of them goes with everything. I love heeled booties but I’ve always wanted a pair that didn’t have such a large heel and these are the perfect height. I can’t recommend them enough if you are looking for a neutral bootie for the Spring.
Beauty: Lush Lip Scrub
March was pretty tough on my skin, especially my lips! My lips were so chapped last month and it was driving me crazy. Luckily, this Lush lip scrub saved the day! I love to use this stuff in the morning and at night to prep my lips before putting on my lip balm. It makes my lips so smooth and really helps to get all of the dead skin (gross!) off when they get so dry. This has been my go-to lip scrub for years and I would not have made it through the last month without it.
Snack: Trader Joe’s Just Mango Slices
Trader Joe’s is hands down my favorite place to buy snacks. They have so many options and there is always something interesting to try. I used to always buy their Sweet and Juicy Mango Strips but lately I’ve been really loving the Just Mango Slices. These taste less sweet and make such a good snack. I love taking them to work because they are an easy and quick snack for me. I am a huge fan of most of Trader Joe’s dried fruits and they are priced really well so I’m usually able to try a few different types without breaking the bank.
Hopefully you enjoyed my list of favorites for March. I would love to know if there is anything you are currently loving! I’m always looking to try new things! If you think of anything I might like, please let me know in the comments!
