And just like that, Summer is here! I can’t even believe it! We have been getting some super hot days lately and it’s making me realize how much I really don’t like the heat. Ha! I’m just not a Summer girl. I’m a Fall girl through and through, always and forever. But I am pretty thrilled to have found some cute denim shorts this year. I normally live in dresses and rompers all Summer. Mostly because I can never find any shorts that fit the way I like!
Spring term just ended and I decided to continue taking at least one Summer term class. It’s been hard to work full time, go to school part time and blog but I’m trying to work out a system. I’ve also started running and lifting weights during the week and it’s just another thing to add to my list. BUT I know I need to be pushing myself and getting healthy so it’s worth it to find the time.
One of the pairs of cute shorts I found this Spring is this dark pair with crochet detail. I love the dark wash and really like that the crochet part adds something fun and different to a basic pair of cutoffs. I wanted to pick something comfy and casual for the start of Summer, and what screams Summer more than red, white, and blue?!
These shoes are my very favorite pair of Converse ever. I love how simple and delicate they are and they go with everything!!! This cute short sleeve henley is one of my new favorite casual tops, I have it in two colors. I don’t own a ton of red so I thought it would be a nice pop of color to add to my wardrobe. You don’t necessarily need to put a cami under this top, it’s not see through, but I wear a cami under pretty much everything. It’s rare for me not to wear one. I have a bunch of them in different colors and wear them every day.
Can you believe the 4th of July is less than 2 weeks away?! What are your plans for the 4th? Will you be dressing up or sticking with a more casual look?
