I could not be happier that it’s Friday because this week has been a STRUGGLE! I’m trying to get back into the groove with schoolwork on top of working full time and blogging. I’m not gonna lie, it’s a lot. Especially because all of the classes I have last are math which is not my strong suit. Having time off after Christmas from work and school was so nice, it makes it extra hard to go back to being super busy again!
I’ve been wearing a lot of casual outfits these days since I’ve been so busy. Being comfy is a top priority when you don’t have much time. I saw this colorblock shirt and thought the colors were so pretty! The pink is such a fun color and I feel like I need more clothing items in this color! It brightens up a gloomy winter day for sure! Plus, I’m just really loving colorblock patterns lately!
I paired it with my favorite jeggings in a medium wash. Normally I’m someone who goes for dark wash denim but I grabbed these and I’m so glad I did! I never realized I needed a lighter pair of denim. I’ve had these boots for a few years and they are amazing. They go with everything since they are a perfect light gray color. I also love how low they are, they would be adorable with dresses in the spring!
Andy was making me laugh so hard while taking these photos. There was a man sitting in a window watching us the whole time which was super awkward. I feel like I’m getting better about ignoring people but it still feels weird when you know someone is staring at you! Luckily I have Andy there to make me laugh and cause a distraction if I’m feeling too uncomfortable.
Taking photos is still my biggest struggle when it comes to the blog. I love clothes and putting outfits together but having photos taken still feels so vain to me. Even though I know that’s not the reason for doing this, it’s hard to get out of my own head and just enjoy myself sometimes. I feel like I’ve come a long way since our first time taking photos but I’m still waiting for the day when it gets easier and more natural! I think as long as I continue to challenge myself it will get easier. Sometimes you just have to get out of your comfort zone!
Are you someone who is comfortable being in front of the camera?
